Since 1993, RT Respiratory Services has quietly been a cornerstone of compassionate healthcare across Southwestern Ontario. From Niagara to Alymer and up to Brantford, their team of registered nurses and respiratory therapists has been helping thousands of patients breathe easier — literally — by keeping them at home with high-quality oxygen and sleep apnea therapy.
This year, RT Respiratory Services is going a step further by becoming one of the two title sponsors for the Hike for Hospice. Their support has helped the Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice surpass its ambitious $40,000 fundraising goal — raising over $60,000 and climbing.
“Our mission has always been to keep patients where they’re most comfortable — at home,” says Carrie Dyjack, co-owner of the family-run business now operated by her son, Josh. “Supporting hospice care was a natural extension of that mission.”
With offices in Simcoe, Dunnville, and Tillsonburg, RT Respiratory Services sees firsthand how essential local hospice care is. The team frequently serves patients with life-limiting conditions who struggle with access to consistent end-of-life care. That’s why RT is not just donating money — they’re also using their office locations to distribute hospice flyers and raise awareness among patients and families.
“Hospice touches so many people in this community,” Dyjack adds. “We’re proud to be a part of a healthcare system that pulls together when it matters most.”
The team is already planning future collaborations, including hosting hospice information at their booth during the Simcoe Fair this fall.
As one of the region’s leading home healthcare providers, RT Respiratory Services continues to prove that family-run doesn’t mean small impact. When it comes to building a stronger, more compassionate healthcare network, they’re breathing life into what it truly means to care.
