Bereavement Support

Though grief is a natural part of loss, it can also be one of the most difficult experiences of our lives. Grieving is a process and how we grieve is unique to each person, yet it doesn’t mean we need to experience it alone.

If you are experiencing a palliative diagnosis or death of a loved one, we are here to help guide and support you.

Programs We Offer

Individual Anticipatory Bereavement Support: Experiencing a palliative diagnosis of one we love can certainly be a challenging and difficult experience.  The uncertainty, the rollercoaster of emotions, the not knowing what to say or how to begin conversations, the stress of caregiving, how to create legacy leaving and memory making… these can all seem quite overwhelming.  We are here to support you along the way.
Individual Bereavement Support: One someone we love dies we are left to navigate an often, difficult path.  Grief comes in many forms. Each of us will have our own unique way of expressing and experiencing our loss.  We are here to guide you along a process that though is normal natural and needed, also can feel isolating, frightening and confusing.

The Norfolk Haldimand Community Hospice understands the experience of grief can be a difficult and sometimes confusing and lonely journey.  We are here to support you through a variety of programs and support options.  Please feel welcome to contact our Bereavement Care Provider for more information.
